Judith Robinson-Cox…“With a foundation in abstract painting, I use the camera as a tool to create abstract art. The joy of photography for me is in discovering striking geometric compositions and relationships among abandoned buildings, interiors, boatyards and other man made structures. My goal is to create images that convey the aesthetic experience I felt when taking the photograph, often altering the light, color and texture on the computer to enhance the artistic impact without obscuring the underlying photograph.”
Judy received a BFA in painting and photography from the University of Connecticut and studied graphic design at Philadelphia College of Art. She lives and works on Cape Ann as a graphic designer and has recently started to exhibit her photographs and digital art in juried shows in Cambridge, Philadelphia, Newburyport, Lynn, Gloucester, and Rockport.
