Barbara Brewer

Barbara has been a photographer for decades. She was brought up with family photo albums which she revered and respected. With a little old Kodak box camera she started taking some photos of her own. Every photo had a story or a history behind it. Years later she took pictures with the small plastic Instamatic cameras and then began using the somewhat fancier film cameras available. Besides entertaining family and friends with her photos, she has had one person shows in local venues around the North Shore and became a member of the Rockport Art Association where she had her work on display for several shows. She has always been self-taught and relied on her love of simple natural beauty around her both in the countries she visited abroad and especially on her native Cape Ann.
