The objective of this two-day landscape workshop on the coast is to sensitize the beginner to advanced student to the aspects of outdoor painting, including:
• Learning how to see nature’s details
• Understanding the interplay of light and shadow
• Knowing how to mix the right colors
• Eliminating the fear of outdoor painting
Students will study the methods of mixing color and the basics of good composition, while experiencing the joy of outdoor painting firsthand.
Each morning will begin with the instructor doing an hour or so demonstration explaining the process, followed by the students setting up and painting. Participants will receive individual attention and guidance to create a finished painting “a la prima” (in one sitting).
All skill levels are welcome. Space is limited.
