Susan Lynn is an artist member of the Rockport Art Association, as well as the North Shore Arts Association and the Salmagundi Club. After receiving her BFA from Kansas State University, she spent the early part of her career working as an architectural illustrator before shifting her focus to fine art. Working in both watercolor and oil, she has earned signature membership status in American Women Artists, National Watercolor Society, and the Outdoor Painters Society. Susan’s work has been included in notable juried exhibitions with the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, American Women Artists, the Academic Artists Association, the Copley Society, and the National Watercolor Society. She actively participates in many of the top invitational and juried plein air events in the country, winning the coveted Grand Prize at En Plein Air Texas in 2020. Her work is frequently featured in national art publications, and has been the subject of feature articles in Plein Air Magazine and International Artist Magazine. In 2018, Susan moved from the Midwest to Rockport, having fallen in love with both the beauty of Cape Ann and with fellow Rockport artist John Caggiano. In 2019, she opened her gallery, the Susan Lynn Gallery & Studio at 79 Main Street in Rockport.
