Looking closely at nature inspires a huge range of imaginative artwork, from abstraction and decorative work to illustration and cartooning. In this online drawing workshop, we will look at a wide variety of examples to get us started and then explore techniques for unleashing the imagination through the drawing process. A PDF handout with exercises will be provided at the end of the workshop.
All skill levels are welcome. The group will be limited to 12 participants, allowing ample time for drawing and individual feedback. Erica will send you an invite with the Zoom link before the meeting.
Supplies:
· a multipurpose sketchbook or drawing paper (preferably 9 x 12 in. or larger)
· drawing pencils of different hardness (one HB and a 2B or softer)
· pencil sharpener
· 1 gray kneaded eraser
· 1 white plastic eraser
· and any other drawing tool that appeals
